The all-new supermarket in Mount Kisco at 333 North Bedford Rd. will celebrate its opening on Sunday, Nov. 10 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m.
The Mount Kisco ShopRite locale will replace the location in Bedford Hills at 747 Bedford Rd., which will close on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m.
According to ShopRite representatives, the new 74,000-square-foot supermarket will feature a "Fresh to Table" section where customers can purchase prepared grab-and-go meals. Offerings will include chef-prepared entrees, take-and-bake dishes, fresh sushi, side dishes, pre-cut fruits and vegetables, baked-in-store desserts, and cakes made by award-winning decorators.
Other features boasted by the store will include an expanded produce department; a meat department with skilled butchers; a seafood department with fresh deliveries; a bakery; a floral department; and specialty products from brands like Bell & Evans poultry and Stonewall Kitchen.
The store will also make use of new technology such as "Caper Carts," smart shopping carts that will allow customers to scan items as they shop.
"Our customers will find a bigger store with new amenities and an elevated shopping experience that also delivers the exceptional quality, variety, and value ShopRite is known for," said ShopRite President Steve Savas, who added, "With expanded fresh departments and a focus on sustainable design, this store meets the needs of today’s shoppers while serving as a valuable addition to the community."
